Staying Hope-Filled When You are Waiting on Something

What's it like for you when you are waiting on feedback, review, or permission to share or move forward on something at work?

For me it's like sitting in the doctor's waiting room endlessly only to be told she's running 30 minutes behind. More anxious waiting. Just waiting!

So.

My offer today when this comes up at work (or anywhere!) is to connect both to your breath and body as well as the idea of reframing the idea of "waiting".

When the meeting gets pushed, when your deadline passes, when they ask for more time to get back to you...

I'm getting triggered just thinking about it, I feel it right in my chest near my heart and there is a lot of motion and heat there.

What do you experience?

Once you are aware of this, can you breathe into it? Paying specific attention to your exhale at the end and allowing it to melt, soften, and help you drop back into your body?

The hope is this grounds you so you can do the next part...

reframing the idea of waiting!

What else could you do with what you are holding on to?

What is missing that you could add now?

How could you be wrong about any of the content?

Use this time to increase your contribution and start to see that you can confidently expect yourself to think differently when you get triggered!
