On when your career hasn't caught up to your shift in priorities
have your priorities changed since the pandemic began?
before 2020 I was thought I would be at Disney for my entire career.
I loved the people, the benefits, and to be totally honest the prestige that came with saying I worked for THE mouse!
it wasn't until i found out i was having twins that I started to look at my career and wonder... is this really what I want the next 30 years of my life to look like?
Now. This is not me saying, QUIT, start your own business, its the best! NOT AT ALL.
This is me holding space for you to think about what you really want!
75% of workers say their priorities have changed since the pandemic began. Top priorities now include flexibility, purpose, and work-life balance. (McKinsey)
That is a big number!
But how many of those 75% of workers have done anything about this change in priorities?
This is where I see leadership coaching and what I do so well coming in... When priorities shift, when big life things happen and a part of us has changed, why do we hold on to other parts?
The biggest challenge is moving past the fear of failure or uncertainty. I know that building yourself up again means stepping courageously into the unknown. I am here to remind you that you you have more strength, wisdom and experience than you did at your last beginning.
You aren't the same person you were when you started your first job, made the last career change or endured the last round of reorging.
If you could shift one thing, right now, today...what would it be?
Why is it important for you to do this now?
What would it look like if you had it tomorrow?
Why don't you have it already?
(I could go on and on with questions but its super boring just typing them!).
